Terms of Service

The terms on which we quote, the terms on which we work, and the terms on which you use this website. Written to be read rather than to be skipped.

This website is information, not an offer

Nothing on this website is a quote, an offer or a binding price. There is deliberately no dollar figure anywhere on it, because a price for a building nobody has looked at would be a guess. A quote exists only when we have inspected your site and sent you a written price. That written quote, and not this website, is the document that governs the work.

What we tell you before we start

Before any work begins you receive a written scope and one fixed price. The scope states what is included and, where it matters, what is deliberately excluded. If we think a surface will not come back, or that a problem is damage rather than dirt, we say so in the quote rather than discovering it out loud on the invoice.

Fixed price means fixed

The price we put in writing is the price you pay for the scope we quoted. It changes only if you change the scope, or if we find something at the site that was not visible at the walkthrough and could not reasonably have been — in which case we tell you and agree it with you before doing the extra work, not afterwards.

No lock-in contract

Ongoing cleaning runs on 30 days notice, either way. You can change the frequency, add or remove areas, pause over a shutdown, or end the arrangement. We can do the same. There is no minimum term and no exit fee.

Access, keys and alarms

Most cleaning happens outside your business hours, so we need access. The arrangement — who holds keys, what the alarm procedure is, which entry the crew uses, who we call out of hours — is agreed in writing before the first shift. Where you supply keys or codes we keep them secure and we return them when the arrangement ends. If you change the alarm code and do not tell us, we cannot clean, and we will still have turned up.

Site safety and inductions

On industrial sites in Wetherill Park our supervisors complete your site induction and follow your traffic-management and safety rules. We supply a site-specific safe work method statement before we start. In return we need your site to be safe for our people: a floor we cannot safely work because a forklift is running through it uncontrolled is a floor we will stop working on, and we will tell you why.

Insurance

Clean Best carries public liability insurance and workers compensation for everyone on the roster. A certificate of currency is provided before the first shift on request, and we would rather you asked for it than assumed it. If we damage something of yours, tell us and we will deal with it.

Our people

Every cleaner is police-checked before their first shift. Cleaners working in schools, childcare centres or any premises where children are present hold a current Working with Children Check. Where a rostered cleaner is unavailable, the person who covers holds the same clearances.

What we do not do

We are cleaners. We do not perform hazardous materials or dangerous goods clean-up. We do not remove clinical or sharps waste, which is a licensed waste stream. We are not a pest controller, a licensed trade, or a restoration specialist for timber, stone or stained glass. If your site needs any of those, we will tell you at the walkthrough and you should engage someone who holds the relevant licence. We will not claim a certification we do not hold.

End of lease and make-good work

For an exit clean we clean against your managing agent's exit checklist, or against the make-good clause of a commercial lease. If the final inspection raises something that falls inside our written scope, we return and re-clean it at no charge. We do not and cannot guarantee the return of a bond or a security deposit: a bond can be withheld for damage, rubbish, unpaid rent or grounds maintenance, none of which is cleaning and none of which is within our control.

Payment

Payment terms are stated on your quote and on your invoice. Ongoing cleaning is normally invoiced monthly. One-off work is invoiced on completion.

If something goes wrong

Tell us. Call 1300 494 983 or email hello@cleanbestgroup.com.au. If work inside the agreed scope has not been done to standard, we come back and put it right at no charge. That is not a goodwill gesture, it is the deal. A supervisor also audits ongoing sites monthly against the written scope, so in the normal course we find it before you have to.

Your rights under Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law. Where the law gives you a right, these terms do not take it away, and any part of these terms that purported to do so would simply be void.

The information here is accurate to the best of our knowledge, and where we were not confident a fact was correct we left it out rather than guessing.
